Debrief for CPL Promotion Test
Heys all,
You peeps are not far behind the Finish Line. In fact, you all are just about to cross it when 2 major obstacles made you all fall.
Drills standard of the squad is not so bad, just that the coordination of actions has to be coordinated well and executed out together as a squad. Knowledge of the drills of the squad is relatively good.
For Outdoors, you all have to re-learn, re-think, and re-construct the steps and procedures for pitching up a tent, and erecting a flagstaff. You all are required to pitch up a tent for yourself, and for your Sec 3 seniors during the upcoming Area 10 ATC/STC. If you all do not take learning into your own hand, the kind of tents that you and your seniors will be sleeping in, will be that of yesterday's standard. A tent without main guylines, without outersheet and groudsheet, etc. I do not think you all will want to sleep in those kind of incomplete tents right?
And as mentioned a lot of times already, I still want to reiterate that we cannot possibly spend every single training hour re-teaching things that have been taught. We have to move on to new skills, new syllabus, etc. That means you all have to revise on what have been taught in your own free time, so we can spend the training hours teaching you all new things. I'm sure most of you want to learn new things, instead of repeatedly doing the same old things. However, all these can only be possible if you have the self-responsibility in doing independent learning. Nevertheless, during the course of revision you do not understand certain things, we are always here to help you and clarify your doubts. It's just a matter of whether you want to take the first step to squeak for help or not.
We appreciate all the unseen hard work, effort, and time spent outside NPCC training hours in preparing for the CPL test. It's just a pity that the effort put in still fall short by a little. Despite of that, do continue to give your best no matter what challenges come before you. So, congrats to all who are promoted to the rank of Probationary Corporal (P/CPL).
